President/Founder

Coach Wesley F. Taylor has 22+ years coaching experience.  He started coaching in 1984 coaching the men’s basketball team for the United States Air Force at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina.  During this time, he led the team to the division’s championship at Seymour Johnson and to the semi-finals at Fort Lee Air Force Base in Maryland.

Vice President

Natashalyn Snipes is the Exceptional Children and Student Services Director of Weldon City Schools in Weldon, NC and Vice President of the executive board of Mary V. Taylor Foundation (MVTF). Natashalyn graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) with a BA in psychology.

Acting Secretary

Pastor and teacher educated in the Montgomery County School System. Currently employed by Orange County Schools as an Exceptional Education Inclusion Teacher. Serves on Board of True Worship Christian Fellowship

Treasurer

Tonia Thorpe, a native of South Carolina born in 1967. She grew up in the south and moved to North Carolina at age 21 where she would begin to build her career in finance. She earned several degrees, an AAS in 2000 from Wake Technical Community College, a BA in 2006 from Shaw University, and an MBA in 2011 from Strayer University.

Parliamentarian

Angela Marguerite Smith Taylor was educated in the Durham City Schools and received a diploma from Hillside High School as a member of the National Honor Society.  She received a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education (1994) and a Master’s degree in School Administration (2002) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Christopher Hargrove is a native of Durham, NC. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1993 where he played football and wrestled. After graduation he attended North Carolina A&T University from 1993 to 1996 studying computer science. Chris is currently a Fire Driver in the Durham Fire Department were he has been employed since August of 2002.

Board Member/Tax Accountant

Terry received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC.  He is a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals and the National Society of Accountants.

Board Member

Sharon T. Holman, works for Duke Regional Hospital as a Team Leader for the Food and Nutrition Department. She made sure that between 200 and 260 patients were fed the correct diet each day until they were released from the hospital. She transferred from Duke Hospital to Duke Regional Hospital on June 23, 2016 as a Patient Menu Tech, where her journey would then lead her to Team Leader. Sharon’s motto is keeping a positive attitude and a warm smile helps me make it through stressful work situations.

A native of Durham, North Carolina was educated in the Durham City Schools. He is a 1978 graduate of Hillside High School Durham, NC. He is a 1982 graduate of North Carolina Central University Durham, NC where he received his bachelors of Business Administration and Accounting.
